Two A Spoon Full of Sugar Cards....Challenge # 48 and 49

Hi Everyone,

WOW!!! I'm the worse blogger ever!!

I'm sorry but on last week the grandmother of one of my friends passed away and I took care of her three kids... I didn't even imagine that it could be so demanding taking care of three small children at the same time.. They drove me crazy, but I was happy of helping my friend in this dificult time. On top of that, I'm also having some relatives staying over for a few months and this is taking a lot of my time so that's why I might not be doing a card daily during this time, but will try my best.

Last week I was unavailable to post my card for "A Spoon Full of Sugar" challenge but today I will show you both cards. Last week our talented DT Caryn created this beautiful sketch to follow which I enjoyed much.. Thank you Caryn!!!

And for this week you have to make a card using one of my favorite color combinations: blue and green, so it was so easy making this card with one of my Hanglars. :)

Have fun!

A Spoon Full of Sugar - To die for....

Hi everyone,

WOW!!! I have been out for a few days even if I didn't plan for it, but was so nice just disconnecting from the routine having a good time with my family and friends. I still have one more day because my husband returns to work on Wednesday, so I'm just posting my card for our challenge at "A Spoon Full of Sugar" and will go back to enjoy our time together, but I will be back on Wednesday :))

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. I did :) and that's why I chose this stamp to make my card for this week. This week the theme is easy: you need to use a die or a punch and place it anywhere in your card. I selected the Nestabilities and also the Quickutz for the swirls.

The Magnolia stamp from Easter collection , prima flowers, stickles and the distress ink to color my card are from one of my favorites stores: "Roses on Papers". This card is also part of my DT with ROP. :) The paper is from Martha Stewart and the brads and other embellishments from my own stash.

A Spoon Full of Sugar -An sketch by me .. :)

Hi!!!!

This week at "A Spoon Full of Sugar" was my turn to select an sketch so if you want to play with us, please visit our blog here and have fun with it. :))

I always find hard to follow an sketch because I prefer the freedom of putting embellishments and the image where I want. Even with my own sketch I had to add an extra flower and a brad... LOL!!!

Here is my card which is part of my DT work at "Roses on Papers". All the highlighted items on both cards are from the store.

For my second card I used my new Hanglar from the Spring kit . I looove these new stamps. I think they are beautiful for baby cards or like this one... for a very good friend... :))

Materials:
Stamps: ( First card- Magnolia) (second card- Hanglar)
Papers: Martha Stewart.
Inks: Distress re-inkers
Embellishments: Prima flowers, charms, gems, stickles, brads, buttons and ribbons.
Tools: Nestabilities and Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies.

Missing Challenges...sorry...

Hi,

I'm sorry I have been late for my two challenges this week at ROP and "A Spoon Full of Sugar... Last week I had a little "accident" on the street and I felt on my knees. I almost broke the left one, but Thanks God I stopped the fall with my hands.. so at least I saved my teeth and face :))

I had a hard time during the week with my left knee which was swallowed and with a lot of pain, but I started feeling better today. The skin is missing yet, but is coming back. The doctor asked me to rest keeping my injured leg up.... so that's why I was so uncomfortable and unable to do my cards this week and I apology for it.

I hope my pain will be nearly gone by the weekend so I can have my routine back again... Thank you so much for your emails and comments. :))

I have a question to ask... Does anyone know where on line may I buy the mini Prima flowers???
I can't find them nowhere... :((

Thanks!

A surprise on the mail and two cards...

Hi!!! :))

Look what I received in the mail today!!!... This is soo cool!!.. I saw a similar item like this in my Deb's blog and I told her that I loved that idea and she was so nice to talk to her husband and make one for me too... I looove it!!!. Really, it looks great in my stamp-room... Good place to have the cards that I keep for myself and get it in display without any fingers on them... it can also be used as a calendar !!! .. I convinced my dear friend Deb that her husband should sell this type of art, don't you think?... they liked the idea too and started selling them at $15.00 + shipping. So if you want to order one go to Deb's blog and send her an email. The quality is really good. In real life look even better than this picture... I'm so happy with mine.. THANK YOU DEBBIE!!! You made my day!!!
( This picture was taken from Debbie's blog because mine was so dark..sorry...)

Now I want to show you 2 Hanglar cards. One of my dear friends from Norway sent me as a birthday present 3 beautiful Hanglar stamps and of course I had to make a card right away.. I'm a Hanglar-aholic, no question... LOL :)) Thank you my friend!!! You know that I really really appreciate this present and the most important of all, your friendship. I love you!! :))

The other card is for a nice person who is going through a difficult time right now in her life, and she needs HOPE. This is the reason why I have so many colors and flowers in this card, to cheer her up a bit.. Hope she like it. :))

Well, today I made two more GORJUSS cards that I will show tomorrow so stay tuned...

Hugs to all,

LIM :))
