My First Post for Silly Monkey Crafts..

Hi Everyone,

I am finally able to show my first card for the Silly Monkey Blog . I'm using some of the wonderful goodies that Bryony sent to me. (All the highlighted materials are from the shop)

I can't stop using this beautiful Ellie elephant from High Hopes. ( I think is my favorite stamps from HH) For me it's so versatile. I can use it as a Birthday card or a baby card or as I am using it today... .a Christmas card. Only thing missing is a Santa hat but I can't find my stamp and do not have any die for that, sorry. I added crystal effect to the whole image to incorporate a little bit of dimension, even though at the time I took the picture it was not dry yet.

Materials: I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!!

Hugs,

Lim :)

Silly Monkeys DT call...

I made this card for a DT call at "Silly Monkey". I was so glad when I saw my card in their website today because that means that I made it through the first round. I think there will be two rounds in total. I know is a tough decision to pre-select among so many talented ladies applying for this position. Anyway, whatever happen, I am enjoying making this card for them.

For the first round you have to design a card following the wonderful sketck provided by my dear friend Nikki, who belongs to their DT.

I used one of my favorite stamps from High Hopes, this cute Elephant Ellie. Inside I use one of the stamps of the "Grunge Colection" from Stempelglede.
The papers and the butterfly punch are from the Martha Stewart Collection.
Flowers from Prima and the rest of the details from stash.

I wish the best to all the ladies entering this DT call.

A Spoon Full of Sugar... Week # 10- Animal Card.

Hi Everyone,

Today we started another wonderful week of the challenge "A Spoon Full of Sugar". Let me tell you that I'm so happy to be part of this great group, not only because the DT is a wonderful team to be part of, but also these lovely ladies are so talented. Check their blogs to see their beautiful creations. ( You can check the prize for this week here )

In addition, this challenge allowed me to make cards with my favorites stamps (even though Magnolia is not included and it's one of my favorites too, LOL) . This great challenge allows you to use Sugar Nellie, Rachelle Anne Miller, Sara Kay , the wonderful and hard to find HÄnglar & StÄmplar and of course, High Hopes.

I chose this last one (High Hopes) to make my card this week. I specially like these cute elephants. I think they are so versatile... they can be a thank you card like mine, a baby card, a valentine one, so many possibilities... I will use it with a little hat for Christmas, you will see... I'm working on it. :))

OK, no more chat.. Here is my card.. and this time I tooked pictures from outside and inside too. Hope you like it.

Front....

Inside the card....
The poem says : " Two simple words that come with so much gratitude...Thank you..."

Back...

Stamps : High Hopes and the sentiment is A Muse Artstamp.

I don't know what's going on but I don't like my cards too much latetly. I think they are missing something.. Or maybe, I'm missing something, who knows!. hahaha. But I think these beautiful stamps deserve to be posted. So, there you go!.

The cute Hippo and the leaves are from the new collection of High Hopes. The rest was just papers, brads, and a little charm. Sstickles like always :)) and a lot of green.. I think it's too green. hahaha. Oh well... I hope you all like it!. The papers are SU, Bazzill and the DP is 7 Gypsies.

I wrinkled the DP to add texture and rubbed fluid Chalk Inkpad from ColorBox. ( Dark Brown and Olive Green)
