Today I want to show 2 cards that I made for two of my dear Norwegian friends. Camilla and Heidi... Happy Birthday my friends!!! I wish you both enjoy a wonderful day with your relatives and friends. :))

The first card is for my sweet and talented friend Heidi. Her birthday was yesterday Feb, 7th.

The second card is for the super talented Camilla whose birthday is today. Feb, 8th. Please check their blogs and wish them a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Both of them make amazing cards.. You will be stunned..!!!

And last, but not least, I want to wish ALL of my Norwegian friends a Happy Mother's Day!!! I am not sure if it is only in Norway, because here in America takes place on May. I wish you have a beautiful and wonderful day!!

Finally...I'm back ... My longest post!!!

Hi Everyone,

Oh wow..It's been almost a month from my last card. I have a new computer, but I'm still going through some difficulties to recovery old cards because I lost tons of pictures I didn't save. My husband is always telling me that I need to save everything, but who would think my computer was gonna crash?.. LOL That's my excuse :))

Well, today I want to show you a card that I made for "A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog". This week you have to make a card for a kid and I made this card for my niece who recently turned 5 years old. On She's a beautiful girl with blond hair and blue eyes. I decorated the front so much that at the end I did not have enough room for the number 5 so I decided to do something on the back side of the card. I can't show the inside because it will be a surprise for my niece and my sister in law :))

The stamp is Whipper Snapper and I added crystal clear to the shoes, dress, ribbon and the gift. Flowers are from Prima, Butterfly and scalloped punch are from Martha Stewart. Buttons, swirl and drew drops from stash.

This week's sponsor is the wonderful store "Roses on Paper...and Magnolia's too". Check out their website because they have tons of new products: Magnolia's, Sara Kay, Rachelle Anne Miller, Penny Black and many more, including Basic Grey paper. Talking about "Roses on Paper" I have other card using their Magnolia stamps that I want to show you. I made this card with for a friend who will receive it on the mail very soon with some stamped images inside . I hope she like it. I was afraid of mixing too many patterns, but I want to give it a try.

I want to thank each one of you who sent me emails and wrote comments during this time that I was without computer. Thank you so much!! I miss you all !!! I still have to check around and visit tons of blogs, so please be patience because I will be visiting your blog and leave comments as always.

Last week, I received my first DT package from Silly Monkeys Craft and I'm working on some projects. I was really excited with the nice stamps and goodies Bryony kindly sent to me... :)) Thanks Bryony! :))

Some friends asked me why my roll blog do not get updated. I have no idea. If any of you knows how to handle this issue, please send me an email to magnoliacards@yahoo.com. I will appreciate it.

Thanks!!

A Spoon Full of Sugar. Week# 21- Lim's Sketch.

Hi Everynone,

This week in "A Spoon Full of Sugar" you have to make a card using the below sketch. I really want to apology to all the "Christmas lovers" because I did not use proper colors for a Christmas card. Thanks to all the tips and suggestions that I received from my Candy Blog about storage. It encouraged me to re-organize my stamp-room which right now looks like a "war zone"... believe it or not I spent more that 3 hours making this card because I didn't like the only papers I had available and easy to grab, either the embellishment or the ink that I used...In another words... I am far of feeling proud of this card... Sorry.... :((

Please, note that this week we have a new sponsor at " A Spoon Full of Sugar" house, which is "Roses on Papers...and Magnolia too" . This sponsor is donating a wonderful selection of papers, flowers and even a Tilda Stamp. Go and check it out!!

Stamp: Whipper Snapper
Papers: Bazzil and the DP I really don't have idea :(
Embellishment: Brads, snowflake punh from Martha Stewart, stickles, buttons and charm from Making Memories.

Hugs,

Lim :))

A Spoon Full of Sugar. Week# 14

Hi again!
Another great week for the wonderful challenge " A Spoon Full of Sugar". This time you have to make a card using 3 different ribbons. Remember that now it's open to any stamp. I believe this is great because it allows you to use your favorite stamps, or just those you never used before...(this happened to me with this stamp, I love it, but never used it 'til now) . I utilized three different ribbons, two of t
hem used twice. Hope you like it.

Today I have a second card to show you :))
I'm so in love with this paper from Urban Window Collection but I just bought 2 pieces (shame on me! Now I will have to go back to Michael's to buy more, I know hahahaha). Well, with 2 pieces of paper 12x12 I made the four Christmas cards you can see in one of my previous posts, plus the two ones I am showing here. I employed each inch of the paper to the max. :)) I LOVE the color combination of orange, green, blue and brown.
I made this card for one of my ex-coworkers and really good friend. I know she loves orange and green so I think it is perfect for her. The gift and ribbon at the girl head comes as 3D. Hope everybody is having a good time irrespective of where you are.
Big Hugs,

Lim

Muchos saludos y abrazos,

LIM

It's always nice coloring this image from Whipper Snapper. I'm a huge fan of them.
I used the same paper as in my previous card. ( You know we have to recycle every inch of left over, brads, papers, ribbons, anything and everything count!! :))
I added sticklers to the background paper to have more texture. I also added crystal clear from SU to the bubbles.

Stamp: Whipper Snapper.
Inks: Stampin Up re-inkers. (Cool Caribbean, Groovy Guava, Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel , Old Olive and Close to Cocoa)

The ART doesn't have to be perfect...

I believe that this card doesn't need a lot of explanation, it's horrible, I know, ha!ha!ha!. But I needed to make it, because more than anything its message says it all.
Everything is a matter of perspective, of point of view, and how you view things ....

Thanks!...

I made another card using one of my Whipper Snapper stamps. All the papers are from Stampin Up and the background effect is using the new embossing envelope from Cuttlebug. Sticklers, a few brads and the sentiment was hand writing. I hope you like it!.

Lim.
