A Spoon Full of Sugar is back!!! :)

Hi !!!

Wow..I'm so excited. "A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge Blog" is back!!! After a few weeks brake we are back with new energy and ideas. Today's challenge consist of following this wonderful sketch created by Nikki. I told Nikki that after finishing my card I noticed that my image was not strictly like the sketch...Not only that, actually I made a few "mistakes" during the process... I don't know what I was thinking of, sorry sweetie. :)) I think I should stick with the old ideas...LOL

Well, last year I struggled with the Christmas cards until the very last minute. I had some friends to whom I wanted to send a card, but I was late. This year, my first resolution was to make in the future my Christmas cards during the whole year, so I SHOULD get my cards ready to be sent by Thanksgiving's day... and my Christmas will be relax and worry-free... At least, this is the plan, now let's see what happens during the year... Now let me show you my first Christmas card for this year LOL :)) ( All the highlighted items below are from the store "Roses on Paper")

Materials:
Stamps: Magnolia from the Jingle Jangle Collection
Papers: My Mind's Eye and Bazzill
Inks: Distress re-inkers from Tim Holtz
Embellishments: Drew Drops (from the Silver Bells bottle), Prima Flowers, Brads, charms and ribbons from stash. The little snowflakes are buttons from Wal-mart and they are flat at the back. Stickles ( I added stickles to the snowflakes buttons as well and the effect is really pretty. The picture is too dark to distinguish the little details, sorry)

Hugs,

LIM :))

Gorgeous card Lim, the colours are so pretty and just adore the pretty image which is so beautifully coloured. I think I should start making some through the year to, wouldn't be such a rush come December!!
Thank you so much for my card which arrived a few days ago, I love the black, white and red combo(apologies for the delay!) and wish you a very Happy New Year.

As always LOVE your cards. I only wish I had that talent. I do have a question. it says your little metal add-ons are from you stash. I want to look for those kind or things any suggestion of where to buy them or where you got them?

thanks, kat9

She's just too beautiful! I so adore her and all the details! I love how you color with re-inkers. It's just so soft and beautiful. And the stickles on the flowers make them all look like snowflakes!

This card is so great, Lim! I love the colors and I think you have a clever idea making the christmascards early.. :P I'm anxious to see how it goes, I know I can't do that!! :)

I also love your card below, the one with the angel and the cake. Lately, I have been experimenting with the same stamp, trying to figure out what the angel can hold in his/her hands... :) It's so much fun!

The sketch is great and I love your card (even with a little poetic license). What a great idea to do Christmas cards all year long. I usually try to start in September, but this year it was November. I did not get as many done as I had hoped. Keep reminding us and I will try to keep up with you through the year. :)
